Vicki and Greg, known for their Concierge service with a B & B touch, have been welcoming guests to their Ashland, Oregon inn since 1982. Guests from near and far have enjoyed the comfortable lodging amenities and peaceful charm of this enduring 1905 Victorian.
The inn is located close to downtown Ashland, yet is off the main street in a quiet neighborhood. Guests spend their leisure time at the inn on the sunny front porch looking upon Mt. Ashland or in the lush garden setting of the patio and deck area. There is a special garden spot for snoozing in the popular hammock!
The outdoor areas surrounding the inn are nurtured with care for the guests’ enjoyment. Relaxing time is spent on the patio and deck, midst the jasmine, lavender and rose garden. Afternoon wine, sun tea or lemonade in the gazebo is a popular past time! Guests take the opportunity to picnic here for lunch and dinner on the many sunshine filled days in the Rogue Valley.
Each day Vicki and the inn's staff prepare an elegant and creative breakfast. Tasty specialties such as eggs benedict, crépes, veggie frittatas, oven baked pear pancakes, strawberry blintzes, fresh baked rhubarb muffins...oh, those yummy buttermilk and fruit scones with lemon curd...are just a few favorites gracing our morning table. And, yes, we do share our recipes with guests!
Top it all off with our special French Roast coffee from GoodBean in Jacksonville, lively conversation and suggestions for things to do in the Rogue Valley in addition to theater. Guests with special dietary needs are pleased to find that their individual needs are easily accommodated with care and creativity.
Cold drinks for hot days & hot drinks for cold days, wine at 5 p.m., port, sherry and Branson Chocolates for evening enjoyment all add to the atmosphere. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the inn, as well as on the sunny patio and front porch! Seasonal rate specials are available in the winter and spring months. We also offer our single guests a lower overnight rate for their stay at the inn throughout the year.
The Iris Inn was created in the fall of 1982...on a whimsy remark "Wouldn't it be fun to own an inn." With a quick 38 years flying by, we can still say that! We have had so many interesting and endearing guests pass through our front door...what a wonderful gift they have been. We are proud to say that we have guests returning from our first summer to this day. More than being guests, they are now friends and family in our hearts. We have had the pleasure of watching babies grow to adults and miss guests no longer able to return to the inn to share their smiles, interesting lives and, above all, opinions about the plays! We look forward to greeting you at the inn's front door as we welcome you for either a first time or return stay at the inn.
