The inn serves a sit down breakfast from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at tables set with china and freshly pressed linens. Guests decide their own time...depending on what they have planned for the day. Vicki and the Iris Inn staff love to start your day with gourmet breakfasts before venturing out for a day of shopping, plays and exploration of the Rogue Valley and beyond. Guests often opt to park their cars and walk the main street or stroll through an historic neighborhood to their destination in Ashland's charming downtown, an easy 4 block walk. The town features many unique shops, art galleries, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters and the Oregon Cabaret Theater for fun musical entertainment.
Our large garden patio and deck areas, with multiple areas for relaxing, allow guests their own peaceful space for reading or daydreaming. Our guests enjoy the sunny front porch with comfy chairs and swing for morning coffee or yet another locale on our grounds to enjoy the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. Hummingbirds and bees are attracted to our many roses, abundant flowering arbor and varied gardens. The rope hammock beckons guests for an afternoon siesta or quiet read in our lower garden.
Mornings find our guests gathering for early coffee or tea and conversation while awaiting the call to another delectable breakfast at the inn. Late afternoon, guests stop for a glass of wine and to chat about their day. Sunny days they head to the garden patio to enjoy a sip of wine, lemonade or sun tea. Branson's Chocolates, port and sherry await their return before a serene night's sleep.
